Show Guests More Than What a Photo Can Offer

Show Guests More Than What a Photo Can Offer

I recently completed a virtual tour for a restaurant that I had stopped in to visit last year. The owners seemed very interested in having a virtual tour done. But, when I called to follow up with them, I was told that they were not in a position to have a tour done at that time.

Fast forward a year later and I get a phone call from one of the owners. The restaurant had closed down and a new one opened. It’s more spacious and not awkwardly laid out like the previous location. The owner dug through his old files to find the post card I’d given him last year. He was eager to show off the new space, but there was bigger reason for reaching out to me.

Off to the left and towards the back is a small “nook” of an area that works very well for small groups that would like to dine together. However, each time someone asks about the area, the owner has to write down the customer’s cell phone number and message them a photo of the area. But a single photo doesn’t really do it justice. The time that it takes to go through that process is wasted time. He could be seating other guests, taking more reservations, or tending to literally anything else that’s more productive for the restaurant. He wanted a way to show guests more than what a photo can offer.

Now, the website will feature a full tour of the restaurant. Guests can see everything from the location in relation to other businesses, the sidewalk dining area, the wonderful ambiance, spacious & clean restrooms, and, most importantly, the cozy nook that guests keep asking to see.

Time and energy saved. What is that worth to you?
